Convert Minecraft coordinates between the Overworld and Nether. Type X, Y, or Z into either side and the other side updates using the 8:1 horizontal ratio. Y stays the same. Copy coordinates for /tp and use the portal-linking tips to build both ends by hand.
Pugtools home All toolsNether Portal Calculator is an experiment. It works, but it has not had its polish pass yet. See the other experiments
Height never changes
The Y coordinate is shared 1:1, the same height in both dimensions.
8 : 1 horizontal ratio
One block in the Nether covers eight blocks of Overworld X and Z.
Link portals cleanly
Build both ends by hand at these coords, and keep portals 128+ Nether blocks apart to avoid mislinks.
